LOBP-Consulting has a team of experienced process engineers who are capable of carrying out basic design and detail engineering by close interaction with the technologies involved like:
automatic batch blender (ABB), Inline Blender (ILB), Simultaneous Metering Blender (SMB), Viscosity Modifier Units (VM), Drum Decanting Units (DDU), Pigging Technology; Piggable Manifold and Automation Systems.
Our contributions in EPCm Service could be in the following areas:
FEED (Front End Engineering Design) is conducted after completion of Conceptual Design or Feasibility Study. At this stage, before the start of EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), various studies take place to figure out technical issues for the grease plant, lube oil blending, filling and packaging plant to estimate rough investment cost.
The “FEED Package” will be the basis of bidding for EPC Contract. Reliable FEED minimizes costly changes during EPC Phase and is the key to a successful project. LOBP-Consulting has an extensive Database from realized projects and effective engineering tools. With the help of these tools, reliable FEED can be conducted in an efficient manner and in a short time.

The Engineering & Design works are executed by a team of specialized project engineers, supported by could computing and LOBP-Consulting’s data warehouse.
Based on the Front End Engineering and Design Package (FEED) and starting from Process Design, the Basic Design of the facilitie is executed. Based on the Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and the plot plant the P&ID (Piping & Instrument Diagram) will be developed. This schematic diagram delivers piping, equipment and instrumentation connections within the Lube Oil Blending, Filling and Packaging Plant.
Elements included during this phase compromise documents such as:
process/plant description, updated process flow diagrams (PFD), plot plans, equipment layout - with the various Core Equipment’s like ABB, DDU, SMB, ILB, Pigging, Manifold / Equipment/ Electrical/ Control & Systems- and instrumentation drawings, equipment specifications, and equipment lists.
Once project scope and process definitions have been established, the activities of Detail Engineering can commence. This phase includes the final calculations for hydraulics and equipment sizing, equipment specifications and data sheets, and the preparation of the operating, installation, and maintenance manuals. Also the space-integration designs such as Piping/Structural is performed in parallel in a virtual 3D Plant Model (LOBP-Consulting’s Integrated Plant Design System).
